SRDA Mind Body Adventures
Summer/Fall 2025
May 30th - 31st Overnight at Beulah Mountain Park Lodge. Horseshoe Lodge
Depart SRDA 1:00 pm Friday Return 2:00 pm to SRDA Saturday
Our planned programs include lodging, three meals, a hike, a labyrinth walk, a campfire, reflection activities, and hanging out. There is a $60.00 fee for overnight lodging and three meals.
June 7th: Historical Tour of Downtown Pueblo
Depart SRDA 10:30 am Return 1:30 pm to SRDA
We will be taking a ride through Downtown Pueblo, with Gary Trujillo being our tour guide. Come learn something new and reflect on something old. It is $5.00 for the trip. Tour Guide Gary Trujillo. Dress for the weather.
July 19th Colorado Renaissance Festival (Wine and Revelry Weekend)
Depart SRDA 8:00 am Return to SRDA 6:00 pm
The Discovery of a good wine is increasing better for mankind than the discovery of a new star Leonardo Da Vinci. For this weekend dedicated to “The Nectar of the Gods” we intend to use it very well, indeed! Participate in the legendary Grape stomp Competitions for fabulous prizes, on the rose stage at noon. There is also a Free sampling of some of the finest vintages from area wineries at the dancing bear pub, 11:30 – 2:00. There is a $34.00 fee for this trip. Dress for the weather with a light jacket and umbrella. Wear comfortable shoes. Reminder: most stands are cash only.
July 26th, Francisco Fort La Veta Colorado
Depart SRDA 9:00 am Return to SRDA 3:00 pm
Ute Indian Culture Days. Great demonstrations and exhibits. There is a fee of $10.00 for this trip. Dress for the weather with comfortable shoes. Lunch will be on your own.
August 9th, Downtown Aquarium (Denver)
Depart SRDA 8:00 am Return to SRDA 4:00 pm
We will take a self-guided tour through the aquarium and see the sea life as well as many other exhibits. There is a fee of $30.00 for this trip. Wear comfortable shoes for walking. We will stop for lunch after the Aquarium (lunch on your own).
August 16th, Denver Museum of History and Science (Denver)
Depart SRDA 8:00 am Return to SRDA 4:00 pm
See current upcoming exhibitions at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. There is a $27.00 fee for this trip. Wear comfortable shoes for a lot of walking. Lunch may be bought in the Museum cafeteria, or a sack lunch may be brought.
September 10th, Senior Safari (Pueblo City Park Zoo)
Depart SRDA 8:30 am Return to SRDA 2:30 pm
Senior Week provides free admission to seniors, 65+, centered around a full day of activities! Sponsored activities attract a mix of active seniors and facility residents for refreshments, zoo tours, yoga, live music and more! Dress for the weather with comfortable shoes. Coffee and Donuts will served along with lunch.
September 13th, Canon City Tunnel Hike
Depart SRDA 8:00 am Return 2:00 pm to SRDA
We will enjoy the beauty of the Arkansas River nestled between the canyon’s walls. The dirt trail is flat and easy to walk and after a short climb, we will walk through three tunnels. Bring clothing for the sun or rain, and water. Snacks for the hike are welcomed. We will be going out to lunch after our hike. There is a $10.00 fee for this trip.
October 4th, Nature Center to 4th St Bridge
Depart SRDA 8:00 am Return to SRDA 1:00 pm
As we walk along the trail beginning at the Nature Center to the 4th Street Bridge, we will observe nature in the making. The trail is a well paved trail for walking, and we will observe wild turkeys and white tail deer. A remarkable trail for walking within our community. Dress in layers for the weather with a light jacket and hat. Bring water and snacks in a light backpack. Bring a sack lunch to enjoy at the end of our walk.
October 25th, San Isabel National Forest
Depart SRDA 8:00 am Return to SRDA 3:00 pm
Bus ride to see the change of leaves from Summer to Fall. Bring a sack lunch, a chair to sit out in nature and enjoy the fresh clean air. Dress for the weather. There is a $10.00 fee for this trip. Dress for the weather with a light jacket and hat. Bring water and snacks to walk around enjoying nature. A sack lunch may be brought to eat at the lake.
